More Than Words – The Hanen Program® for Parents of Autistic Children
More Than Words® is a program designed for young children with a diagnosis of Autism. The program is based on research that has shown children's social communication is best supported with responsive, meaningful interactions with their parents and caregivers. This 12-week early intervention workshop centers on parent coaching with a focus on social communication skills, where you will learn how to:

work with your child so they participate in play

help your child express to you what they want and need

take the strategies we will teach you and use them at home in your everyday life

Led by an experienced and trained speech therapist, this program helps parents learn specific tools that they can use at home. Daily practice at home is where your child will start to use these skills naturally.
